Nominate a Veteran!

1. Nominations are open for veterans residing in central or western Iowa.

2. Only veterans who have been discharged under honorable or general conditions are eligible.

3. Nominations can be made by third parties or veterans themselves.

4. All nominations must be submitted by 12/31/2023.

5. Nominations must include proof of military service and type of discharge.

6. Submissions should be accompanied by proof of residency in central or western Iowa.

7. Nominees should not have received an award from this charity in the past two years.

8. The veteran's need for support and positive impact in the community will be considered.

9. Nominations must include a written statement (250 words or less) describing the nominee’s qualifications and why they deserve to receive the donation.

10. Contact information for both the nominator and the nominee must be provided.

11. If nominated by a third party, we will reach out the veteran and request their DD214 to confirm their service, and their acceptance of the nomination.

12. The CVMA® IA 39-1 reserves the right to verify the information provided.

13. Winners will be selected by a panel from the CVMA® IA 39-1.

14. All decisions made by the panel are final and binding.

15. The selected veteran will be required to collect the beef donation in person, with proof of identity.

16. The selected veteran agrees to participate in public announcements and promotions related to the program.

17. All personal information collected will only be used for this program.

18. Non-compliance with these rules will result in disqualification.

19. Participation in the nomination process indicates full acceptance of these rules.

20.  The chapter of CVMA® IA 39-1 reserves the right to amend these rules at any time without prior notice.
